About me

Hi, I'm Gwen.
I'm a media educator, educational consultant, author, and mum in a lively blended family with four children.
Family life is not a theoretical concept for me.
I know the questions, uncertainties, and everyday discussions around screen time, digital media, and finding balance in a connected world – not only through my professional work, but from my own experience at home.
For more than 20 years, I have worked in adult education. Since 2019, my focus has been on digital parenting, media education, and prevention. I support parents, educators, and schools in finding orientation in an increasingly digital world – with a relationship-based approach that is practical, clear, and free from perfectionism.
I also work as a coach and trainer for a nationwide prevention programme that supports schools and families in promoting healthy and balanced media use among children and young people.
I completed my PhD at Loughborough University, UK, in 2012. My doctoral research explored how emerging political ideas develop and spread online.
Today, I combine research, professional experience, and everyday family life in my work.
My guiding belief is simple:
As technology becomes smarter, relationships become more important.
